On Wednesday July 21st, the students performed three short amateur plays at Language Link DCV. The plays were written, produced and directed by the class, based on an experimental idea put forward by their teacher Mr.Matt Eliatel. The class of eighteen students was divided into three groups, each with a leader who coordinated the productions.
The three plays ranged from a magical folklore story about a hunter in an enchanted forest, ‘Hide and Seek”, to love stories set in Hanoi, the light-hearted “Love Story of Hanoi” and the darker “Love Poison”.
Mr Hieu was judged the ''Best Actor'' for his role as a charismatic lover, while Ms. Quynh Anh was judged as the "Best Actress'' for her role as the jilted ex-girlfriend in the same play ''Love Poison.” Both winners beat off a strong field of budding thespians.
Though it was very difficult to separate the three productions, ‘Hide and Seek’ was judged the “Best Play.
Special commendation was given to all the performers who entertained on the day.
The prizes were given out by Mr. Wes Lockhart, the Director of Studies at Language Link, Dai Co Viet.
