Pupils at primary schools in Hanoi have much progress in foreign language learning, especially the fluency in expression and pronunciation during the speaking test at final examination. The statement was made by Gavan Iacono, director of Operations – the Language Link Vietnam at an English Olympiads 2009 held in Hanoi in late March. More than 1500 students from 29 districts in the city participated in the multi-choice contest to select 150 ones having the highest mark to compete listening and speaking skills to win prizes.
