English singing contest for students opens

The 7th English singing contest called “Let’s get loud” will be held from November 2009 to January 2010 to create opportunities for students to develop their gifts for singing and promote English listening and speaking skills by singing popular international songs.

The contest will be divided into two rounds. The qualifying round will take place at the Water Resources University on December 10-11 and the final round will be held at the Hanoi Cultural Palace in January 2010.

The organising board will award a special prize, including an Attila motorbike worth VND27 million and a scholarship of VND4.5 million. Two first, 2 second and 2 third prizes will also be awarded.

Registering for the contest will be from November 5-20 at website http://llv.edu.vn.

The singing contest is being organised by Language Link Vietnam (LLV) in coordination with the Vietnamese Students Cultural Centre.
